Emergency Management Canterbury Community Resilience Survey

How Prepared are You and Your Family for a Civil Defence Emergency?

Canterbury Emergency Management are starting their annual resilience survey today  so we can understand the community’s awareness of hazards and levels of residents to an emergency.  This also helps us have a clear view of preferred emergency information channels that the community use prior to and during an emergency .

We will be promoting the survey via our online media channels, mobile apps, advertisements online, and are looking for your support to assist in encouraging anyone you know to complete the survey.  The survey takes 5 – 10 minutes and is being conducted throughout Canterbury from 17 Feb -10 March 2025 and can be completed online, using a QR code or a paper version available from Timaru District Council offices and libraries. which can be made available as requested. All responses are confidential. The respondent will not be able to be personally identified (unless they enter the prize draw) and their responses are not reported individually. There is a prize draw for those who complete the survey and wish to enter with 5 Outdoor readiness packs up for grabs across the region.

Here is the link to the survey: cdemcanterbury.govt.nz/survey and we thank you in advance for sharing this with your networks!

We would love to hear how prepared your home and family are for an emergency as being prepared is one of the most beneficial things you can do for your family.
