The Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail Hui, hosted at picturesque Mt Cook Lakeside Retreat’s Moraine Lodge on Wednesday, 23rd of August, proved to be an enjoyable gathering. A highlight of the event was the guest speaker, renowned adventurer and motivational speaker, Mark Inglis.
Attendees were treated to an insightful and inspiring talk by Inglis, whose remarkable journey talked on true determination.
The Hui provided an opportunity for Trail Partners to come together, share ideas, forge new connections, and shape the future of the Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail. The event fostered a sense of community among the participants and allowed for the guests to mingle, eat delicious food crafted by the Retreat chefs and discuss the interesting findings from the speakers. Participants learnt more about regenerative tourism, the A2O planting plan and discussed pertinent industry topics

Moraine Lodge can cater for large gatherings and intimate fine dining dinners. The large open fireplace was roaring and allowed for a cozy feel for the Hui. The space can be set up in numerous different ways and was the perfect spot for the A2O event.
