Road Closed: Dominion Road, Timaru

Where: Dominion Road, between State Highway 1 and Levels Plain Road.

When: Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 14, 2025, and is expected to take 3 days to complete. Work is expected to take place between the times 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

Why:  These road stabilisation works are maintenance repairs designed to strengthen the underlying road materials, ensuring greater durability and longevity of the road.

Additional information/Disruption: This section of Dominion Road will be closed. Detour signs will be placed to help guide road users around the site.

Road Closed: Halstead Road, Pleasant Point

Where: Halstead Road, outside Pleasant Point Primary

When: Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 14, 2025, and is expected to take 5 days to complete. This work, located directly outside Pleasant Point Primary School, and has been scheduled during the school holidays to minimise disruption. Work is expected to take place between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

Why: To carry out open trenching across the road for the installation of new underground power ducting.

Additional information/Disruption: This section of Halstead Road will be closed. Detour signs will be placed to help guide road users around the site.

Road Closed: Rimu Street, Timaru

Where: Rimu Street, directly outside Highfield School.

When: Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 14, 2025, and is expected to take 5 days to complete.

This work has been scheduled during the school holidays to minimise disruption and expected to take place between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

Why:  To enable contractors to complete underground drilling works on behalf of Alpine Energy.
