In terms of Section 24 of the Reserves Act 1977, Timaru District Council intends to seek the Minister of Conservation’s approval for a partial change of classification of land situated adjacent to Peel Forest Road/Denniston Road, described as Rural Section 40175.

The land area to be changed is 2425 square metres, out of a total area of 2.1954 hectares.  The desired change is to change the classification of the smaller land parcel from Recreational to Local Purpose (Community Purposes).

A copy of the plan depicting the area may be viewed on Council’s website, or at the Timaru District Council office, 2 King George Place, Timaru and the Geraldine Service Centre, 78 Talbot Street, Geraldine, during office hours.
