We are preparing for the next round of dog registration notices, sign up to get your registration reminder emailed be into win a free year dog registration.

Each year the council sends out nearly 7,000 dog registration invoices, which costs the community around $15,000 a time.

With printing and postage costs increasing every year, one way we can reduce costs is by increasing the number of people who recieve their dog and rates invoices by email.

Sign up to receive your dog registration invoice by email, and you’ll go in the draw to win a free dog registration for the upcoming year.

Keeping your details up to date ensures you receive important notices and helps us provide the best service possible.

Terms and Conditions

This competition is run by Timaru District Council. New and existing email invoice sign ups for dog registrations go in to win a free years dog registration for the 2025/2026 period.  Timaru District Council will select the winner at random on June 3 2025.

Timaru District Council will contact the winner of the prize draw and the dog registration will automatically be credited to their dog registration. The prizes are not redeemable for cash. The competition only applies to dogs registered in Timaru.
